Jade, Bryan, and I took a snowboarding trip to Salt Lake City, Utah January 24-29th. Neither of them had ever even seen real snow and none of us had ever been skiing, snowboard, or otherwise.

Jade and I are treating ourselves to pedicures before preparing for our flight back to Austin. #

These are some treachorous driving conditions. Barely able to make out the road, 40 yard visibility, and snowing hard. #
Oh, and we’re driving down the side of a mountain next to a frozen lake. Whew. #

Today was a lot bumpier. We went to a different resort and although the day was gorgeous, there was no fresh snow to soften our landings. #

Today was awesome. Much falling and many bruises later, I’ve got the basics of snowboarding down. Tomorrow we’ll hit some harder slopes. #

Made it to Salt Lake City. It’s white and cold and great. We’re making the drive through the mountains to Eden now. #
