Disable Visual Studio Code from breaking on first Node.js statement

I’ve been using the new Visual Studio Code editor on my latest Node.js side-project. So far, I’ve been enjoying the minimal interface.

However, there was one thing annoying me. Every time I run my project (a simple Express 4 app), the debugger breaks here:
break_on_debug

This would require me to hit continue every time I started up the app!

Turns out it’s a pretty simple thing to fix, but I figure I’d share here for anyone else looking for the answer. Simply set the ‘stopOnEntry‘ property in your launch.json file to false.

break_on_debug_false
